I'll do a more complete writeup once the testing is complete, but want
to follow up on the above comment:

I can confirm that the package from ppa:racb/experimental fixes the apparmor issue we saw before.
I've also tested the same starting from Precise.

So the upgrade from 5.5 in Trusty to 5.7 in Xenial is now tested to work
with kernel versions 3.13 and 4.2 in Trusty
