Hi - here a minor update
Regarding:
NOTE: To make it work manually, the module "vfio-pci" must be declared at "/etc/modules" as well.
Yes it is required to load the module before dpdk_nic_bind, if running manually you have to do it some way on your own e.g. /etc/modules.
If using the init scripts they will take care of it before calling dpdk_nic_bind.
Also regarding vfio in general there is a lot of things that can go wrong regarding the actual iommu setup.
