[Bug 1491050] [NEW] qemu-img fails with "error while compressing sector 5121920: Input/output error" when -c flag is passed

Public bug reported:

Running qemu-img utility with -c option for compression alway fails with
the following error on any file (most probably > 2G),

qemu-img  convert -c -O qcow2 disk2.qcow2.original disk2.qcow2
qemu-img: error while compressing sector 5121920: Input/output error


This looks similar to the bug fixed in
