[Bug 1516652] [NEW] 'lxd' is an unsupported hypervisor type

Public bug reported:

I'm trying to boot glance images which have the hypervisor_type property
set on them to 'lxd' to target specific hypervisors within a mixed
hypervisor cloud; instance boot fails with:

nova does some based filtering of hypervisor types - lxd is not in the
recognized list.
