dirwatch /etc | grep OPEN | egrep 'init.d|rc' shows that shutdown
scripts are no longer run sensibly either.

The K01mysql script never runs, so likely there's some other shutdown
script with a dependency which is touching mysql + hanging before the
K01mysql runs.
