Thanks for reporting this bug.  According to your error message, there
is a syntax error in your /usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d file.  However in a
freshly updated vivid I don't see any problem.  Is it possible that you
edited that file yourself?  Could you please attach that file to this
bug?
