[Bug 1482314] [NEW] The # symbol can't be used (as part of a password) in the /etc/ppp/chap-secrets file

Title says it all. Sample file below would be perfectly valid:


# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# client        server  secret                  IP addresses


koen    *       Jekeke543      *


However, in my daily password, I use a #. So the chap-secret below gives me errors: 


# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# client        server  secret                  IP addresses


koen    *       Jekeke543#      *


This generates the following error lines in syslog: 

Aug  6 19:12:49 SERVER pppd[12738]: Plugin /usr/lib/pptpd/pptpd-logwtmp.so loaded.
