Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Fixed in Vivid, which is on 5.6.24. I'll leave a Trusty task open.

Note that the Canonical server team is focused on MySQL 5.5 in Trusty,
which is the version in main. MySQL 5.6 in Trusty is in universe and not
supported by our team. Volunteers to help fix MySQL 5.6 in VIvid are
welcome - see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SponsorshipProcess if you are not
an uploader.
