[Bug 1319923] [NEW] Console stdin ignored using -nographic mode

Launching VM's from qemu-system-ppc frequently  fail to read stdin  - VM is HUNG ?


/usr/bin/qemu-system-ppc -M ppce500 -nographic -kernel jade-kernel.bin-new \
                -initrd svy-initrd-raw.bin -m 1G -enable-kvm \
                -append "console=ttyS0 sgyboot=break" \
                -name Ubuntu-$$ 

When the launch sequence works , there is an interactive shell that
busybox commands can be executed:

Servergy Boot Loader.

==> You are now in a standard shell.

svy-boot# ls
bin   dev   init  mnt   root  sbin  tmp   var
boot  etc   lib   proc  run   sys   usr
svy-boot# cat /proc/partitions
major minor  #blocks  name

However , other launch sequences hang , stdout messages appear , but
stdin is ignored.

I SUSPECT THE ISSUE IS IN QEMU and NOT THE VM  because when  TERMINTR key is caught (^c ) and 
QEMU quits:

--- Screen

Servergy Boot Loader.

==> You are now in a standard shell.

svy-boot# ls          < --  stdin   IGNORED ;

NOTE ^^    Cntr C   is caught by QEMU and terminates ;
