Confirmed that this is correct with Ubuntu_DAILY_BUILD-trusty-14_04-LTS-
amd64-server-20140316-en-us-30GB

At boot the two expected daemons are running:
# ps -ef|egrep "hv.*daemon"
root      1163     1  0 05:43 ?        00:00:00 /usr/lib/linux-tools/3.13.0-17-generic/hv_vss_daemon
root      1242     1  0 05:43 ?        00:00:00 /usr/lib/linux-tools/3.13.0-17-generic/hv_kvp_daemon
