Public bug reported:
This bug in Tomcat prevents me from updating my application DSpace to a more recent version in my production environment, which is a machine running Ubuntu 12.04LTS precise pangolin.
<https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/Installing+DSpace?focusedCommentId=59605577#InstallingDSpace-ServletEngine%28ApacheTomcat7orlater,Jetty,CauchoResinorequivalent%29>
I plead for upgrading this package and its dependencies tomcat7-common
and libtomcat7-java from 7.0.26 to at least e.g. version 7.0.35 like in
Ubuntu 13.04 raring ringtail. I guess that it is a grave bug and should
not stay in a LTS version. This is not requesting a feature update, but
a bugfix.
The issue was described in Bug 53535, a duplicate of Bug 53615 in Tomcats Bugzilla.
<https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53535>
<https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53615>
It was fixed in Tomcat 7.0.30.
