You have been subscribed to a public bug:

'Drag and Drop' and 'Copy and Pase' doesn't work when I install Ubuntu
in a VMware virtual machine between guest and host.

Here's what I tried so far:
-set suid flag for vmware-user-suid-wrapper (see bug report #1149811)
-made sure /tmp/VMwareDnD exists
-mounted vmbock
-installed libgtkmm-3.0 and libgtkmm-2.4 as suggested here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installing_Arch_Linux_in_VMware#COPY_AND_PASTE

I've attached the current open-vm-tools init script I'm using right now.
If I start the script and run vmware-user-suid-wrapper I don't see any
error messages but 'Drag and Drop' still doesn't work

** Affects: open-vm-tools (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
