ubuntucloud is a new upstream source in development that will provide command line utilities that
* keep a local libvirt storage pool in sync with images available from cloud-images.ubuntu.com
* keep a local lxc container source-pool in sync with images on cloud-images.ubuntu.com
* provide 'uc-libvirt-kvm' and 'uc-libvirt-lxc' commands for launching an instance based on those up to date "images"
* are used by Juju to create containers of lxc or kvm type.
There should be no real potential for regression as these will all be
new packages. The availability of these packages will essentially make
users able to launch kvm or lxc containers much like they do with
schroot, but with the cloud images instead.
[Proposed Changes]
* inclusion of a new source package that provides 4 binary packages:
* uc-simplestreams-libvirt
* uc-libvirt-kvm
* uc-simplestreams-lxc
* uc-lxc
* some changes to python-simplestreams to accomodate more clean code and less
duplication.
** Affects: ubuntu
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
