@Jamie,

could you try the qemu-kvm package in ppa:ubuntu-virt/virt-daily-
upstream?  This seems to be working for me.  If it fixes it for you, we
can either try a last-minute jump to 1.2,0, or hopefully I can figure
out which commit fixed it.
