Public bug reported:

I got this error when I ran sudo apt-get remove --purge maas

∘ dpkg: warning: while removing maas-region-controller, directory '/usr/share/maas/maas' not empty so not removed
∘ dpkg: warning: while removing maas-region-controller, directory '/etc/maas' not empty so not removed

Shouldn't --purge just remove everything?

** Affects: maas (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
