[Bug 1076155] Re: tomcat7 from aptitude repositories does not deploy or explode applicationsapplications

How do I deploy my applications then from remote FileZilla as the
webapps directory is not writable for me as I am unable to log in as
user with Tomcat or root privileges? Must I 'chown' the 'webapps'
directory? Ehat is the more secure way of running this?
