Hi Stephane

The dbconfig-common tool which is used to upgrade the database should
deal with the mysql instance having a root password; you might need to
reconfigure the bacula-director package if it has been added since you
first installed bacula:

   sudo dpkg-reconfigure bacula-director-mysql

This should allow you to specify the root password for the database.
