Public bug reported:

When I first upgraded to precise the samba update failed due to some
dependency issue. The only way I could finally resolve this issue was to
completely purge the related packages, install samba from scratch,
recreate all users and the config. The dependecy issue has been
resolved. Samba was working fine.

Now it seems that I have just had another failed samba update. I've got
no idea why this time. Maybe you can tell me. I'm hoping I wont need to
reinstall from scratch again...
