[Bug 1007916] [NEW] dig doesn't resolve domain hostnames

Public bug reported:

If you execute dig <hostname>, and you have search and domain options
defined in resolv.conf, it should be looking at relative paths, and not
asking root servers.

nslookup, works as spected
