Reassigning to python-defaults, as it's a bug in pycompile. From python-
defaults' changelog, it looks like this bug was fixed in 2.6.6-11:
* pycompile:
- --exclude now works with private dirs
- use /usr/bin/pythonX.Y rather than pythonX.Y (to avoid /usr/local
interpreters)
natty's python-defaults was based on 2.6.6-6.
** Package changed: beautifulsoup (Ubuntu) => python-defaults (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: python-defaults (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Fix Released
** Summary changed:
- package python-beautifulsoup 3.2.0-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
+ pycompile will use /usr/local/bin/python2.6 if available and python2.6 isn't installed.
