  dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:

  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

  Workaround (thanks to wgrant):
   sudo ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.lxc-start /etc/apparmor.d/disable/
   sudo apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.lxc-start

  Then it should work.

Ideally we'd be able to keep apparmor involved.
