This could be an issue:

/var/lib/dkms/open-vm-tools/2012.10.14/build/vmsync/sync.c:240:19: error: ‘struct super_block’ has no member named ‘s_frozen’

The structure super_block in the functions VmSyncThawDevices and
VmSyncAddPath might be missing the struc member s_frozen ?
