system boots and http is unavailable. local transparent squid via iptables-REDIRECT is existent.
ping, wget host, etc can resolv ip's, but squid does not.
files in /etc/resolvconf:
root at PCTO-000071-D1:/etc/resolvconf# find .
.
./update.d
./update.d/libc
./update.d/dnscache
./update-libc.d
./update-libc.d/squid3
./update-libc.d/avahi-daemon
./update-libc.d/squid3.dpkg-new
./interface-order
./resolv.conf.d
./resolv.conf.d/base
./resolv.conf.d/original
./resolv.conf.d/head
output from squid-logfile:
> less /var/log/squid3/cache.log | grep nameserver
2012/08/20 15:20:05| Warning: Could not find any nameservers. Trying to use localhost
2012/08/20 15:20:05| or use the 'dns_nameservers' option in squid.conf.
2012/08/20 15:21:24| Adding nameserver 172.22.0.254 from /etc/resolv.conf
restarting squid manually works for me. /adding a restart to rc.local works too.
we tried to but were unable to write a apropriate upstart job-definiton that starts squid after network is up.
