This was resolved with:

glance (2011.3-0ubuntu2) oneiric; urgency=low

  * debian/glance.{postinst,postrm}: Fix syntax error, /dev/null redirect
    typos.  Only remove user/group in .postrm if they exist. (LP: #857021)
