Public bug reported:

Samba simply failed to install during Oneric upgrade.

I'll see if it was a corrupted package download by removing it from the
cache and trying the upgrade again.

All other packages installed without issue.

Here is the string suggested for the bug name: "package samba 2:3.5.8
~dfsg-1ubuntu2.3 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: package samba
is not ready for configuration  cannot configure (current status `half-
installed')"
