Apologies for the typo.

I have reconfigured clamav-base as follows:
~# dpkg-reconfigure clamav-base
and accepted the default values.

I then ran the command:
~# dpkg-reconfigure clamav-daemon
but it continues to give a segmentation fault error as follows: 

 * Stopping ClamAV daemon clamd                                                                                              [ OK ] 
 * Starting ClamAV daemon clamd                                                                                                     LibClamAV Warning: ***********************************************************
LibClamAV Warning: ***  This version of the ClamAV engine is outdated.     ***
