[Bug 810977] [NEW] slapd remove/reinstall fails

package slapd version 2.4.23-6ubuntu6

Problem sounds like Bug #798946 but recommended solution doesn't word.
So I publish my problem as new bug.

First install of slapd works fine. Then I try to remove the openLDAP completly (to remove also basic databank settings). 
I ececute "apt-get remove slapd ldap-utils" ... works fine.
Now I execute "apt-get install slapd ldap-utils"  ... fails
...

slapd (2.4.23-6ubuntu6) wird eingerichtet ...

 * No configuration file was found for slapd at /etc/ldap/slapd.conf.
invoke-rc.d: initscript slapd, action "start" failed.
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von slapd (--configure):
 Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück
ldap-utils (2.4.23-6ubuntu6) wird eingerichtet ...
Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
 slapd
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

In 10.04LTS (Lucis) Server version I see the same problem, but there I can solve it by myself by:
1) rm -r /var/lib/ldap
2) rm -r /etc/ldap/slapd.d

But under 11.04 (Natty) this special procedure doesn't work.

Therefore something is wrong in the installations script of slapd.
