Ok on another server I administer :

sgh at zemeckis:~$ sudo status ssh
ssh stop/waiting
sgh at zemeckis:~$ cat /var/run/sshd.pid 
11889
sgh at zemeckis:~$

that is not good I guess? since I did the login over ssh.
