[Bug 905313] [NEW] Fails to recognise Android or iP* devices

Because the OS detection is hard-wired into tree.c, it needs updating to
recognise OSes since 2006. Windows Vista and 7 have been added to the
repository version, but other new ones exist :)

Edition version that is up to date as of July 2011.
