[Bug 903259] [NEW] package mysql-server-5.1 5.1.54-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Public bug reported:

typing 'mysql -u root -p' in ubutu 11.04 terminal, I end up with the following error
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

When i read to solve that on the Internet, it informs me to re-install
it. Here is what I have done so far.

sudo apt-get remove mysql-server libapache2-mod-auth-mysql php5-mysql
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get install mysql-server libapache2-mod-auth-mysql php5-mysql

At the end, I get the following error!
