Public bug reported:

The MIB information files are missing. /usr/share/snmp/mibs doesn't
exist and the files that should be in this directory are missing. This
problem is found on X86_64 Maverick, while on X86 Lucid the directory
and files are there. These files include MIB information, which is
required to snmpwalk and snmpget programs and others.

When running this command on X86_64 Maverick:
snmpwalk -v 2c -c <community> <host> memory

memory: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> memory)

Now running in X86 Lucid:
snmpwalk -v 2c -c <community> <host> memory

UCD-SNMP-MIB::memErrorName.0 = STRING: swap
UCD-SNMP-MIB::memTotalSwap.0 = INTEGER: 2100816 kB

UCD-SNMP-MIB::memSwapError.0 = INTEGER: noError(0)
UCD-SNMP-MIB::memSwapErrorMsg.0 = STRING:

Probably the missing files are causing this error.
