Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xinetd

The package for xinetd on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server does not come with
IPv6 enabled in the compile options, thus resulting in a package without
proper IPv6 support.

It is possible to fix this by adding a single line to the CFLAGS in the debian/rules-file and do a re-compile;
--with-inet6 (possibly with an trailing \ if added before "--with-libwrap").

I'd very much like to see this fixed even though it's not much of an
problem it's so easy to support IPv6 in xinetd it should not be left
out.

Perhaps it'd also be in place to update the documentation to reflect
that adding "flags = IPv6" to any xinetd service exposes the service to
both IPv4 and IPv6 while leaving it out makes the service continue as an
IPv4 only service.

** Affects: xinetd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
