Public bug reported:
Update Manager hangs during install. Only way found to exit is to
reboot. Not sure if it's related or just a coincidence but the system
ran hard drive checks when rebooting which may have been triggered by
the failed install. Also, strangely enough MySql is still working on
the computer.
