Right, you should
$ sudo apt-get purge tomcat6 tomcat6-common
$ sudo apt-get install tomcat6

Note that you don't have to remove OpenJDK to install Sun's JDK.
I'll mark the bug as Invalid, please reopen if you still have issue.
