Thanks for your contribution. The current version in Debian is 2.1.0-1.
The difference between 2.1.1 and 2.1.0 is:

 2009.12.11 -- Version 2.1.1

 * Fixed some breakage in openvpn.spec (which is required to build an
   RPM distribution) where it was referencing a non-existent
   subdirectory in the tarball, causing it to fail (patch from
   David Sommerseth).

Could you please prepare a merge [1] from Debian testing instead?

Once there is a merge ready for review, the ubuntu-main-sponsors team
should be re-subscribed.
