Relevant log output

  newaliases: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: btilford-desk-01.hsd1.in.comcast.net.
  newaliases: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter myhostname: bad parameter value: btilford-desk-01.hsd1.in.comcast.net.
dpkg: error processing postfix (--configure):

In other this, this isn't a bug but postfix reacting to a "faulty"
filename. There shouldn't be a dot at the end.

Postfix was probably installed as a Recommend to some other program, and
should probably be safe to remove if you don't intend to use it.

** Changed in: postfix (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid
