[Bug 689089] [NEW] Clamav fails to start because of unspecified LogFile

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: clamav

Just upgraded to the latest version of clamav (0.96.5+dfsg-
1ubuntu1~lucid1) from lucid-backports and had dpkg install the latest
config file provided by the maintainer. Now every time I try to start
the service I get this:

user at box:~$ sudo service clamav-daemon start
 * Starting ClamAV daemon clamd                                                                                                              ERROR: LogFile requires full path.
Closing the main socket.
                                                                                                                                      [fail]

OK, let's try to find what is specified:

user at box:~$ grep LogFile /etc/clamav/*
/etc/clamav/clamd.conf:LogFile 0
[...]

Looks like there's something not specified here...

OK, let's try and see if setting a file removes the error:

user at box:~$ grep LogFile /etc/clamav/*
/etc/clamav/clamd.conf:LogFile /var/log/clamav/clamav.log

I used the location of the existing file here.

frschorer at ebox:~$ sudo service clamav-daemon start
 * Starting ClamAV daemon clamd
                                                                                                                                      [ OK ]

OK, so it's working again - problem solved for me, but others still nedd
a solution ;-)
