[Bug 611695] Re: mysqlhotcopy produces error about log tables

This was fixed upstream in v5.1.47, which is available in Maverick

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=43594

The workaround is to apply the patch from the bug report to a local copy
of mysqlhotcopy (for instance, put it in ~/bin or /usr/local/bin, which
will override mysqlhotcopy from /usr/bin if you have the default PATH),
or manually filter out those tables from the list on the commandline
using a regular expression

See

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysqlhotcopy.html

For details on how to do that.
