[Bug 567179] Re: Update mysql-server-5.1 hangs up

Unfortunately i have to install a package, so i can't wait for a
solution.

I have uninstalll the package with

dpkg --remove --force-remove.reinstallreq mysql-server-5.1

At this point i have to end the deamon manually, because the command
hangs again!

dpkg --purge --force-remove.reinstallreq mysql-server-5.1

Then I installed the necessary updates and installed the mysql server
again.

The new installation takes also a lot of time at the postinstallation
script, i think again at the deamon commands.

Sorry for my impatience but i need the updates urgend.
Let me know if i should provide you more information.
