Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

smbclient backup script reports access denied on all files in one folder of a large Server2003 share.
Navigate to the offending MS Word file - no problem.
Click to open it (with OOo 3.0) and get access denied.
(Same message if I load writer and try file-open)
School firewall prevents apport auto report.
TSC shows NT permissions
Same  user account opens files without a problem on XP-pro
Attempt to drag and drop the file onto the ubuntu desktop gets error while copying .... permission denied.
No problems with XPpro
