[Bug 429004] [NEW] Eucalyptus hangs & euca-upload-bundle doesn't return

Public bug reported:

Eucalyptus is hanging during an euca-upload-bundle and the command euca-
upload-bundle doesn't return.

The ps output:

The lsof output for the connection with Eucalyptus:

FWIW, the image being uploaded is actually a small kernel image, rather
than a big image.  I don't think it's relevant for this case, though,
since apparently the connection was never established.

This was with Eucalyptus 673 installed from source (wth Neil's help),
but with the installed euca2ools_1.0+bzr20090731-1ubuntu2.
