Okay, I confirmed this on qemu-kvm in karmic.  I'm not real sure if what
I'm doing is correct, but I couldn't get it working.

Upstream confirms that this should probably work.  In any case, I won't
be fixing this in qemu or kvm in =< Jaunty.
