OK, can't reproduce on Ubuntu Karmic and even Jaunty with latest
updates:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

$ apt-cache policy unixodbc
unixodbc:
  Installed: 2.2.11-16build3

$ apt-cache policy postgresql
postgresql:
  Installed: 8.3.8-0ubuntu9.04

** Changed in: unixodbc (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Fix Released
