I have installed the samba-dbg package,
and the smbmount and mount.cifs command still give me a 
"Segmentation fault"
i have the same problem as normal user and as root.

$ mount.cifs
Segmentation fault

$ smbmount 
Segmentation fault

# smbmount
Segmentation fault

# mount.cifs 
Segmentation fault

dmesg   output:
[  803.309706] mount.cifs[4227]: segfault at 0 ip b8072751 sp bf974c10 error 4 in mount.cifs[b806f000+7000]
