With my basic Linux knowledge it wasnt easy to find this solution. First i was thinking it was just me doing something wrong. 
i am running 9.04 with 2.6.31

A collegue saw it on my netbook and he installed ubuntu 9.1 NBR. He also had problems mounting his NAS. 
Windows had no problems to mount it.

This made him think linux isnt really that user friendly.. he would
never find this solution

imo i think these kind of bugs should get importance high, because
network file access is highly used and people with not much knowledge
about linux won't probaby find this solution.

unless ubuntu doesnt want to aim at user friedlyness.. :=)

anyway, good work.. i love ubuntu
