[Bug 482086] [NEW] System time is very slow and differs with real for about 1 minute per hour

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ntp

After system (fresh Ubuntu Hardy with all latest updates) get loaded,
system time is OK, but after 1 hour of working it differs with real time
for about 1 minute.

Doesn't matter if System > Administration > Time and Date >
Automatically synchronize time checked or not. So after day of working i
have system time that differs with the real for about 8-10 minutes.

I wrote the shell script:
        #!/bin/sh

        export PATH="PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games"
        ntpdate -q pool.ntp.org
        hwclock
        date
        echo "===================="
And put it to the cron job to execute every minute.

Here is result of 1 hour working (see all log in attached time.log):
