Possible solution: make sure you are not compiling with _FORTIFY_SOURCE set to 
a non-zero value or simply put 

#undef  _FORTIFY_SOURCE

somewhere near the top of the <bacula-source>/src/bacula.h 
file.  Rebuild all files ...
