libpam-ldap sets {crypt} passwords for all entries, not {crypt}$1$[MD5]
or {md5} or {ssha} or any other entries, regardless of the contents of
/etc/login.defs or /etc/pam.d/common-password or /etc/ldap/ldap.conf or
similar.
