Public bug reported:

This one may be a needle in the haystack, but 1 of three hosts built
with Karmic (one ubuntu straight, two mythbuntu) is giving me fits of
bad packet length.

The one driving me crazy is attached (Via 1GHz i386 with Mythbuntu
9.10). tried rebuilding ssh keys and even reinstalled...

Not sure if this is a repeatable bug on other systems, but out of the
box broken sounded like something to fire to the experts. can vnc in,
so have local access.
