Most likely divert numbering conflicts with autoconf internal one. I
just cooked such patch that fixes the autoconf 2.64 problem for me:
http://cvs.pld-linux.org/cgi-
bin/cvsweb/packages/php/php-m4-divert.patch?rev=1.1 . Same way works for
php4.
